OMFG!
Seriously! Wtf? One on topic post, the rest were random talk about Karma. JEEZE! Take it to the Karma thread.
Most of you know I have a few thousand screenshots I could post. However, I won't post any now. Because I have few worth while to share. And I really don't feel like wading through the endless number of them to find any spectacular or hilarious moments.
Btw, with the new patches, I am now running it with incredible settings.
Resolution: 1280x800(Wish I could jump to native resolution, but the impact is huge.)
Textures: High (Hardly a difference between high and ultra settings.)
Objects: High (CPU is already dying under the mass amounts of objects being dealt with physics.)
Shadows: Very High
Physics: Very High (Kills my comp, but adds major fun to the game.)
Shaders: Very High (Incredible detail and highly realistic atmosphere.)
Volumetric: Very High
Game Effects: High (Last thing I need is for Korean bodies to remain, while I'm far far away.)
Post Processing Effects: Very High (Between Shaders and this, it is SO beautiful now.)
Particles Quality: Very High (Incredible looking effects now. Put CoD4 to complete shame.)
Water Quality: Very High (Looks too awesome not to have it on Ultra settings.)
Sound Quality: Very High
Motion Blur: High (Can't have motion blur on both screen and objects, it'd kill my framerate.)
I run all that at about 24fps. During HEAVY combat 16fps. It runs pretty smoothly despite the low frames. Crysis seems to do that for most people.
Anyway, after my little gloat, I'll head off and play some Crysis. _________________ PC gaming is not dying due to any console struggle in the gaming market. PC gaming is dying because of damned pirating. No publisher is willing to make PC exclusives for that sole reason.

Depends on your processor. You'll notice a lot of lag and stuttering from physics if you have a single core. But you said you were getting a C2D? E6750? Threading is what makes Crysis even possible on my computer. Quad would be nice for extra threading. Crysis is incredible in its way to run efficiently. I've played other games, and got the same performance, for half the visual beauty. In example, Assassin's Creed and Frontlines: Fuel Of War and Gears Of War. All just under 30fps.
If you want to play some newer games, and have them look half decent, the use of the CPU is crucial, and threading is necessary. I recommend you have a dual core at the very least. Considering the E6750 is only like $160-180. Little pricey, but the performance is very solid at 2.66GHz. _________________ PC gaming is not dying due to any console struggle in the gaming market. I should post like a thousand pics of Crysis. Then I'd be spamming. _________________ PC gaming is not dying due to any console struggle in the gaming market. PC gaming is dying because of damned pirating. No publisher is willing to make PC exclusives for that sole reason.
